Raytheon math exhibit to open at Smithsonian

Article Excerpt: Raytheon Co. will debut a new interactive exhibit at the Smithsonian International Gallery tomorrow as a way to improve students’ math skills.

MathAlive! is the latest initiative stemming from the Waltham defense contractor’s national MathMovesU program. The exhibit, which will remain in Washington, D.C. for three months, will allow students and teachers to explore science, technology, engineering and math-powered activities such as designing video games, riding snowboards and engineering cities of the future, the company said.
